Understanding The Times: 2019 – A Call To The Australian Prophets

2019 – I am going to begin setting aside a season to share some insights into what Father is looking to accomplish through His Church. As with all things, we know in part and we see in part. What I share is just a piece of the puzzle. The Lord designed and now calls His church to work in unity, with one mind, and above all, in Love, in order to see the fuller picture for this generation.

 Hindsight: The Last 30 years

It is said that those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. This cannot be more true of the Body of Christ. We need to look back and see through the eyes of the Holy Spirit how we got to where we are.

In the 1980s the Lord was looking to further transform the Church and walk in new and deeper realms of intimacy in Christ. This maturity within the Church would start largely in the Body in America and was to be a fire to be taken all over the world. There were those who Father-God set apart to function as truly seasoned and mature prophets. They were called to carry the heavy burden of sharing what areas the Church had begun to drift from our True Love. They were called to stand apart from the institutional system and herald the cry of the Lord to present the new wine in NEW wineskins. They were asked to be willing to count the cost and stand apart; to be of no reputation and have no care for status in the eyes of the recognized church hierarchy. This was to be a primary way the next generation would grab a hold of greater glory.

Much of the church however, began to build “ministry” rather than Father’s kingdom. The American Church began to reject Godly correction in the pursuit of ambition, wealth and prestige.

Here in the United States, by the 1990s, the platform holders of the organized religious system made it clear:

“If you prophets want the microphone, you are going to play nice. You will temper your messages and above all things, you will submit to our way of doing things.”

God alone was to increase the prophet’s sphere of influence. But, instead of trusting God to open up doors to serve, minister, and speak leaves of healing for the nations, much of the prophetic office decided to try to work within the structure of the religious system. The results were disastrous. A compromised, and watered down message began coming forth from this prophetic generation. Even now, much of the words spoken are being weighed not against God’s approval, but against what the cost will be to speak the truth in love.  The church continued to drift further away from Father’s heart, and to seek her own desires and identity. The nation began to groan, the Lost saw little Light, and  an entire generation of Christians became disillusioned, wounded and rejected under the religious system.

The Love and Faithfulness of God: Enter the Australian Church

The prophets of Australia had begun being prepared about 30 years ago to help support the faltering Seers here in America.  *

About 20-25** years ago you (my dear Australian brothers and sisters) first began setting foot on our shores as part of a “great correction” Father was doing. If England is our mother, the United States is your brother, and you were called to minister and instruct and correct the Church in areas that the American Church was not willing to hear from her own.

The purpose of the prophetic believers visiting from Australia was 2-fold:

  1. To Boldly speak on what the American prophets were afraid to
  2. To ease the way for American Seers to begin to step into the fullness of their function

Godly connections were made and true friendship and bonds of love were formed. However, the pressure of seeking to establish one’s own platform, the fear of failure and rejection, amongst other motives, have caused our Australian brothers and sisters who are commissioned to refine her Stateside family to falter. The Australian Seers are in danger of forfeiting their commission.

Australia will start to experience a similar fallout that the Church in America  is currently trying to dig out from underneath. The spiritual climate is beginning to darken in Australia as a result of this compromise. The Australian Church has also begun to feel the compromise within her own land. Brothers and sisters from across the sea, your own nation is losing spiritual authority. Laws will change. Evil will start to occupy the place of righteousness. Your land and your social atmosphere will soon reflect the spiritual compromise of the Church. It has already begun.

Australian Prophets- you were not called to take back to your own assembles and soil the U.S. religious system.

You were called to destroy it here in America.

The torch for this generation is growing dimmer. There is time. There is a season of mercy.

The Plea From Our Lord

Please, I do not share these words with a heavy hand or any condemnation. This word is Love, and we all must judge it. Those who have developed their walk to fulfill Heb 5:12 and are spiritual elders do not have time for easy offense and thin skin.

Soldiers do not get involved in civilian affairs. Father-God is calling to our brothers across the ocean. Return to your commission. Return to your call and count the cost. In a hundred years we will all be in glory together and the things we have been afraid to give up here will be the memories that we will gnash our own teeth at.

He is worthy of our all. You can do this, my Australian brothers and sisters; my beloved family whom I cherish beyond words. I have seen the yet fulfilled visions of the fruit of your labor…

Please… In all the love and spiritual passion I have; your American family needs your uncompromising hearts. And so does your own nation. Our Commander-in-Chief is calling for a season of refinement. There is an invitation to be granted greater kingdom authority and greater sphere of influence. There is a great cost that comes with this, and this season of grace will not last forever. Even now, a new generation of John Baptists are being Hand-groomed in the back-country of our own borders.

We all prophesied this, did we not? We speak still of these Elijahs, yes?

I too bear witness with you all that they are coming. They will soon be given the commission that was rejected by this present generation. But there is still time. They are young, and they would be greatly encouraged by you. True discipleship is still Father God’s Plan A.

Please… pray into this. What is Father wanting to speak to our hearts about, and where can we mutually adjust fire?  In courage and in love we can be iron on iron once again and sharpen our word as we soften our hearts.

Always your brother,

David Murry NY

* To put a more accurate timetable on things: The Lord started commissioning many of these individuals in the 80’s and 90’s, and many starting speaking in the States by the mid 1990s.

“I Played My Drum For Him…”

“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

John 15:11

Christmas Eve. Christmas morning. New Year’s. The holidays tend to act as an amplifier of our soul. We live in an exciting time when much of the Church is redefining her role with all her members and also in regard to Christ. We enjoy a liberty as adopted children and the way we participate in our holidays reflects this. We are beginning to think outside the old wine-skin.

The religious caste system is being cast off. I hear and read of our fellow Christians describing with heartfelt sincerity the way the holidays are being observed (or not observed) and how profoundly Jesus Christ is changing their thinking. We get to enjoy the unconditional acceptance and love of our Father, and what a gift indeed that is! Less “religion” and more “relationship.”

This is wonderful!

At the same time, however, there is a deep pang within much of the Body of Christ. A deeper, darker stabbing at our soul. An old sorrow from long ago. For many, if we are honest, we can trace that feeling back to the earliest memories of our Christmas experiences. When the excitement of present opening is concluded, wrapping paper scraps are all rounded up, and mass quantities of our favorite Christmas morning breakfast have finally sated us…  And we finally just sit… with ourselves.

Where is our joy? Where is our rest?

For many, just reading this is enough for us to identity with that seemingly ancient, dull malady. The promise of a gift that we now realize lies not under the tree, and is much greater than the comforts of our holiday traditions. Just outside the grasp of our soul, we can feel the faintest rolling drum, keeping time to a tempo not our own.

Joy is directly tied to the depth of revelation we know we are loved. This is the full message of John chapter 15. More than this, the depth of our awareness of His love, is the depth of love we can pour out upon our family, friends and strangers.

This is one of the reasons why frustration, fear and anxiety build as we approach the holiday. The more the drumbeat of our heart is not in sync with His, the greater the discord we will feel in our soul. These are divine opportunities to lay down our own song; to pick up the song of the redeemed. It is an opportunity to go back; go back to the beginning, and once again let our heart’s only sound be that of a child saying;

“I receive your love, Father. I put aside all things that attempt to counterfeit that reality.”

Our inner being is meant to resonate His affection.

This is where true joy lies, family. Joy comes from putting down the “Martha” motives and picking up “Mary” motives.  In the coming weeks and into the New Year we all will feel and hear the song of our heart. The passion of our Lord is so intense He will speak to us each throughout the days to come on what tune we are playing. If you feel a lack of rest rising within you; if joy seems to elude you and that pang rises within your being… don’t start playing that drum faster. Please, put down the sticks and just sit with Him. Let Him do a little healing within us. Little by little, right?

He wants to give us all a new song and a new cadence. He is the fullness of our joy and the rest of our souls. He wants us to cease running to and fro looking for the next “thing” to deaden that ache.

“The ox and lamb kept time…”

We too, are more than capable of living out of this rest.

I invite all of us this holiday season to connect with the true Joy that is available within our spirit. Just, sit with Him. Like the little drummer boy, we will begin to perceive a new beat rise. One of Love. With the tempo of rest and an expression of the deepest sense of abiding fulfillment. Have a blessed and joy-filled holiday season to you all, my brothers and sisters. Peace.

Your fellow fledgling drummer~

Deeper Communion: Part 6 – Turning Our Souls Back To Christ

Many within the Body of Christ are desperately seeking more of God.

Many have questions. Many are confused. Pain. Fear. Uncertainty. Shame. Restlessness. Apathy.  For many, these words describe the child of God as much as the Lost. A spiritual mid-life crisis is coming into full swing in this hour that has been building for years.

One of the reasons the Church is struggling so much is we have stopped allowing ourselves to be mutually taught and edified. What’s more, is little by little, without realizing it, we have started to become respecters of persons. We pick and choose what we will allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us about and are pretty aggressively watering down the Eph 4:11-14 outline for the Church. One of the things we won’t entertain is the subject of sin.

David Wilkerson. Leonard Ravenhill. Keith Green. A.W. Tozer. Dietrich Bonhoeffer and (insert your favorite here). These men spoke of the cost of intimacy. We quote them. We declare how we long to have met them and lament their passing. We speak of their passion and uncompromising preaching and teaching. These men convicted their generation to press on to apprehend Jesus Christ and greater intimacy. What’s more: they offered a roadmap on how to get to the throne room of His heart.

Father-God has a question to ask us all.

Why is it that we build emotional monuments for the dead who spoke of holiness and uncompromise, and yet scorn those alive who challenge us to do the same?

We won’t listen much to teachings about “cost.” We are seldom interested in hearing from others about what is our part of the covenant. We distance ourselves from one another when we feel challenged. The Spirit of God moves in every generation to invite us to greater intimacy. Greater power. Greater Love manifested. This is our greatest calling; Our Utmost For His Highest and The Purpose of Man. It is Why Revival Tarries and is the true Power behind The Cross And The Switchblade. Intimacy comes with a cost, and we need to stop fearing that cost, and embrace all of His love.

The Living Word sees the pain and yearning of our heart. He has responded. He is calling to us to make some adjustments in our thinking.

There is a great compromise within the Church body that Father wants to correct in our hearts.

It is the sin of self-validation.

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” Col 3:1-3

Self-validation is to have one’s’ mind set on earthly things. It is to be living for one’s own affirmation and self preservation. It is to live a life where the day to day reality is we seek to add to our self-worth. It is validate one’s identity and reject His for you. It is idolatry.

We do not have to look far to see that much of the Body of Christ is seeking to earn value,  worth and affirmation. Blogs, social media, discussions, comments and replies, “likes” & “dislikes.” The motive within much of the Church is to gain affirmation and acceptance. We seek to earn value and be accepted, and we will not allow others to get in the way of that.

Family of God: we need to turn our souls away from this. I would use the word “repent” but then some of you might stop reading (joke).

The beliefs we hold as truth need to be conformed to The Living Word. If we do not do this, we will never transform into His image. We will become stuck as many of us have become. We will continue to live with anxiety and fear. From there, we will look to the carnal, soulish things that temporarily soothe those pains. This means we have rejected the truth that we are fully pleasing, and deeply, passionately and brazenly loved by our Creator already. Father cannot love us more. We are deeply and fully adored already. (click here for scriptures on this truth)

Will we continue to live the lie while confessing the Truth with our lips? It is our choice, every single day, moment by moment, to repent of this cycle (there, I said it) and begin to allow Jesus to change our thinking. Consider the following verse:

“But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.” 1 Cor 6:17

We already have access to His kingdom and heart. The problem lies within our soul. The inner man of our own heart.

Application:

Begin asking the Holy Spirit to get your attention when you feel offended and angry with others. Ask him to show you what you are believing (not declaring) about your identity as the righteousness of Christ.

If we say (“confess”) we are His righteousness, and yet are offended and hurt by others, we are being two-souled, and the Word says we will not get far in the kingdom. The question Father is asking us each is this: “Child, are you OK with living this way?”

He will never stop loving us fully… ever! The Life in Christ we reject here we will pick back up in the life to come. Eventually, He will have the intimacy and friendship He sent His Son to offer us. But as Ravenhill, Green and many others have asked us in times past, how much of our heart does He truly deserve?

Peace, power, signs, divine encounters, joy, and overflowing Love that touches those around us, starts with our thinking. It is work. It has a cost. There is not a thing we do not pay for in this life. We are always sowing to one of two kingdoms whether we understand this spiritual law or not.

“Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” Gal 6:8

To clear up an oft misapplication of Gal 6:8 – we cannot reap “salvation.” This verse is talking about reaping the life of the kingdom in our daily lives; our very soul.

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.” Rom 8:2

Where does the god of this world still have us in bondage about our true sense of identity? Family of God, if  Father-God accepts us fully, (Eph 1:6) any area we get offended or seek validation through our actions, or the opinions of others means we are choosing to live as if we are still under the law of sin and death.

“We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” 2 Peter 1:19

“that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.” Eph 4:22

Some Parting Thoughts:

We each have a role to play in this generation. We each have a higher call. Let’s go for it, guys. Let’s begin being teachable once more. Let us begin to allow ourselves to be corrected and start healing from the abuses many suffered from the religious system. Don’t run away from those who challenge, and allow Holy Spirit to convict of sin within the camp. Just, take it easy and let’s not get so bent out of shape. Do we not realize that every single legitimate revival and Holy Spirit outpouring began as an outflow of a group of repentant believers asking Father to change their thinking? Look it up. Every… single… one…

He wants to rise within the heart of the Church. Where are we in relation to His desire?

Understanding The Kingdom: Grasping Words of Knowledge

Understanding the Kingdom: Grasping Words of Knowledge:

  • How the gift operates
  • How to develop it

————————-

Let me start off with a qualifier. All interactions with the Kingdom of our Lord will be filtered through our soul, that is to say, our belief-system. The root of all error and confusion in the Body of Christ may be traced back to an identity issue.

Ever get offended at a spouse or friend? Misunderstood? Ever hear an intimate companion share something with you and you took it the wrong way? This happens all the time when Jesus speaks to His bride. We make a mess of the things He is trying to say to us and through us. But, He will never stop speaking and He will never change His nature.

It is we who need to change and grow. We need to learn what it means to be the “righteousness of God in Christ.” We need to learn what it means to live a life where our sense of well-being and specialness does not come from our successes, failures and the opinions of others. This is called “knowing our identity” and it is fast becoming a catchphrase and cliche. Yet, until we truly do, every single interaction or topic in regard to the Kingdom of Heaven will fall into some sort of error, and that error will be dictated by the wounds and lies we carry into the experience.  We need to press into our identity more than mere scriptural confessions. We can bone up on it more here (link: Topical Scriptures: Our True Identity In Christ )

OK, so having said that, let’s dig in.

I often get asked exactly how do I personally hear and see what Father is doing? Do I feel His heart? Do I see pictures? Do I hear His voice? Do I sense in my spirit-man the spiritual atmosphere shift? Etc…

The short answer is “yes.”

But I need to first clear up a common misperception regarding gifts.

“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith..”

Romans 12:6 states there are different gifts according to the grace given. Grace means to be given something one did not earn. Each of us have gifts within in our spirit-man that move effortlessly with the realm of the spirit (whether we even know this or not is another study). In other areas, we have to be discipled more and trained more. In other words, we have gifts of sensitivity that differ according to the amount of grace given in each area. This is the context of Romans 12.

Every gift, when boiled down, is dialogue with our Creator. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit want to speak to us all day long. The charismatic revival erroneously taught gifts as “interruptions in our daily life” when in reality the “gift of the Spirit” is a lifestyle of intimacy where our fears, hurts, and insecurities are actually the interruptions to abiding in the spirit.  Our false sense of self-worth prevents us from flowing all day long in a supernatural lifestyle. This is the hard and simple reality. If one wants for examples we have the 3+ years of Jesus’ Earth ministry. Flowing in Father’s heart in regard to the word of knowledge has two points I’d like to touch on. Let’s talk about how Holy Spirit moves at times, and then how to become more sensitive to His moving.

How Gifts Operate- (How Holy Spirit moves at times):

Simply put, the Lord will impart a piece of His heart, mind, and intention to us. This is Jesus desiring to carry out the will of the Father through His Church. This may come as a picture, a dream, a word, an impression, an emotion, a ghost pain in our physical body (often associated when He wants to heal a particular body part in someone else) and a number of other ways. Once we begin to understand something is going on inside our spirit, we then have the choice to either press into this and talk more with God, or just ignore it and go about our “daily life.”

Developing Sensitivity- (Recognize when Holy Spirit moves more easily):

This can be broken down into two main points.

  • Willingness To Hear
  • Obedience

Willingness To Hear:

Here is where I have read and heard many teachings on the subject. I am going to boil it down. Willingness starts with intimacy.

  • Get to know the nature of the One who redeemed you.
  • Find out what He says you are in Christ.

Intimacy is by definition to know one another in a most personal way. It’s a mingling of one another’s being. The more we embrace the deep caverns of Father’s heart the more our soul (mind, will and emotions) will flow with His.

And without faith, it is impossible to please Him. For it behooves the one drawing near to God to believe that He exists and that He becomes a rewarder to those earnestly seeking Him out.”  Heb 11:6

What is the reward? It is intimacy in that area of His heart. The greater the revelation of Father’s love for us, the more willing we become to give that love to others. .The less we care about anything else. Love begets willingness. Willingness releases the kingdom to flow through us.

Are we willing to talk to Him about healing and challenge our doctrines? He will teach you how to release healing power.

Willing to talk to Him about how to interact with the Host of Heaven? He will open up the scriptures to you about this aspect of kingdom citizenship. You will begin to have biblical encounters.

Now…

Not interested in opening up a dialogue about holiness with Father? Do not expect to have conversations with Him about how to walk in the deepest chambers of His Garden.

Don’t want to discuss personal discipline and correction with Jesus? Guess what, He is not going to speak to you about certain things going on in this generation or in the Ages to come. You may be invited to the courts of heaven, but will you enter into His war-room where He longs to share what He is doing in the Earth in this hour so that you may intercede on His behalf? Highly unlikely.

Why? Because He cannot speak to us in areas where we are not willing to discuss it from a kingdom mindset, and no topic exists in a vacuum. There are so many things inter-related within Father’s heart.

“I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints,” Eph 1:18

“I pray that out of the riches of His glory, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being” Eph 3:16

Where there is no willingness there is no enlightening.

Consider this rather bizarre dialogue Jesus had with a blind man in Mark 10:51

When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout,

“Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”….

“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.

“The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.’ “

Why the heck would Jesus call a blind man to Him, who had been screaming at the top of his lungs for mercy, only to ask the blind man what he wants?? Was Jesus tired that day? Too much ministry the night before? Was Jesus not dialed into the Holy Spirit? Not at all. Jesus will answer according to what we come to Him in faith about. Jesus allowed this man to locate and express his own deepest desire. The blinds man’s faith released the kingdom in that particular area.

Today, the Body of Christ is filled with areas of blindness. We are crying out for mercy to spiritually see.

Yet, when Jesus stands and knocks on our heart and asks us what we want, our replies are often not in alignment with our ailments. Jesus always has, and always will, give according to the measure of faith (belief) in which we choose to engage his heart.

What is the point here? We are talking about developing sensitivity. The fastest way to developing sensitivity to Words of Knowledge, (which is simply hearing His heart) is to begin to invite Him into all of your heart. This takes more courage than we are often willing to admit. Fear, anxiety, torment, and insecurity are all symptoms that there is a deeper blindness within us that needs healing.

Obedience:

“If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?  Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” James 2:16-17

When you sense something stirring, just press into it. Movement.  An action is needed. Faith without a corresponding action is useless.

Our favorite “get out of jail free card” is to fall back on the reality that we are not always certain. We could be wrong. As someone encouraged me with a laugh after she overheard a word I gave to someone in a diner, “Obedience is spelled R-I-S-K.”   Just go for it. In faith, step out and test the impression. This is an application of Jesus’ teachings from Matt 13:11, Matt 25:14, and Luke 19:11+.

Now, do we feel afraid to step out? Insecure? What if we are wrong? What will this mean to others and to our own sense of identity? What does this mean about God actually, truly, really being willing to use us and love us enough to talk with us? There is often a  lot more gunk rumbling around within us than we realize.

“ I thought I heard right but I was wrong.”   Yeah… and? So what?

What thoughts and emotions rise in this scenario? Once again this all goes back to our belief-system.  Family, if we are made perfect, holy, blameless and the righteousness of Christ in the eyes of our Creator, (Col 1:21, 2 Cor 5:17, Eph 1:6, Heb 10:10 ) there is absolutely no way we can feel embarrassed, ashamed or fearful. If we feel these things, or if other painful/fearful emotions surface, we are flat out rejecting our true identity as sons and daughters of God. We need to stop brushing aside the things Father wants to discuss with us.

If… this is what we want. Having said that, I think He is worthy to press into it anyway, even if we don’t want to change. It simply is amazing that He unconditionally loves and accepts us no matter what we choose. All we lose out on is intimacy and with that intimacy, every aspect of the Kingdom.

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Rom 8:32

Well, enough for now, I suppose. I hope this small teaching serves as an invitation that wets our desire for more of Him. The more we are willing to root out the lies of our thinking, and the more we are willing to step out and act on the impressions we have, the more we will grow in flowing with His kingdom and sharing His goodness with all those around us.

Some final thoughts:

We often overlook the moment by moment opportunities while we wait for the great Translation to Heaven because we think it will validate our walk with God. Please understand, this stems from pain and woundings. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit love you beyond your wildest dreams.  Lean into this reality until you own it!

Sometimes people question why I share examples of how God moves through me. The simplest answer is the Lord leads me to share in order to help give others a grid for the application. So, next post I’ll share a recent example of how the Lord healed a stranger on my most recent business trip to San Antonio.

Now, get out there and don’t be so hard on yourself. Have fun, be a willing vessel, and…

Happy hunting!!!

P.S. I hope that none of us refuse to learn from the apostle Peter because we don’t agree with all of his actions (example Gal 2- Peter began to reject his identity and walk in the fear of rejection until Paul set him straight). In the same Wisdom, I pray the Church matures to the point she may glean from others as the Spirit leads. Having said that I am going out on a limb to offer some resources.

A Resurrection Mindset Revisted

I have often stated that the Lord is interested more in a transformed soul (belief system) first, and then our proclamation of the Good News ( Ezek 36:26, Matt 23:26-27).

Each year those who do not know Jesus as their personal Righteousness watch on as the Church Body attempt to fill our pews or living rooms with those who would hear about the Passion of the Christ. What I find odd with this is that we, the Church, have pre-conditioned the lost to exalt this day above others. This may be defined as a tradition to many.  I define it more as a mindset.

A mindset worth questioning.

I enjoy traditions. Really, I do.  Every evening I stroke my daughter’s golden hair and softly bear witness to Rachel how much Father loves her.  I revel in closing my boys’ bedroom door with the parting words “Goodnight, Boanerges! My Sons Of Thunder!”  before retiring to end the night with my dearest, closest ally; my wife. Often, during the late hours, my Savior has a habit of waking me up. I’ll steal away to my ragged reclining chair where He invites me to the shores of Paravel. Here we mutually discuss what’s on our hearts.

I thoroughly enjoy traditions.  There is nothing wrong with them.

That is… unless they exalt themselves up against the word of God. Then it is time to re-examine them and if need be, burn them to the ground.

“So, what is your point, David?” Simply this. Wherever your travels find you this weekend and whatever manner you hold to the tradition of the Resurrection holiday, I ask only for each of us to remember:

We, the Body Of Christ… are the Resurrection made manifest. What was given to man 2,000 years ago; we, His ambassadors, are still being invited to live moment by moment with great awareness of His love and power.

The “lost” long to see the Resurrection manifest, and not to be invited to hear about it. We, are His expression on Earth. We are not being examined once a year, but every day. The world is weary of our words and clever neo-modern programs meant to artificially induce a gospel conversation. They cry out to see and touch His hem that they may be healed.

“For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.” Rom 8:19

The world, much like all the rest of creation, eagerly await for the Sons of God to manifest His nature, that they may finally believe that what we so boldy proclaim, actually has the power to truly change them.

What if they do accept the gift of Righteousness this weekend? Will they be introduced into the Holy of Holies, or to a religious fraternal order? One of rules, performance and expectations? After the loving, heartfelt message of our Savior has been given on Sunday… what awaits them the rest of the week? One with Christ… or one with us?

Father is asking each and every one of us in this hour, in gentle love and compassion… and without any shame or condemnation to examine our mindset. He is asking us:

“When My lost touch the hem of your garment, what happens?”

Please. Enjoy the holiday. Enjoy family and fellowship and the traditions that bring comfort. Enjoy!!! They are a blessing. But while you do so, I invite you to pause at some point and close your eyes. You will feel a stirring deep within. A tug… way down deep. Our Savior wants nothing more than intimacy.  This is Him calling you and me.

It will never go away…

David~
