Understanding The Times : Recap & Some Blueprints for This Epoch

“Remember the days of old, Consider the years of all generations. Ask your father, and he will inform you, Your elders, and they will tell you.” Deuteronomy 32:7

Hello, Family 🙂

I am going to preface this by saying there’s a lot of meat in here. A lot to take in. But, the season is upon us where many Christians across this nation are beginning to look around and ask questions. This blog is a response to this fledgling awakening.

Many of you have been asking where I have been.  It has been a time for me to go into the caves with the Lord and dig deeper. All this while I have been in travail for the Church, the lost, and this nation. Thank you all who were led to pray for me and my family during this past year. It was an intense time of pain and breaking, that had brought great healing and a release of greater intimacy with Father-God. I am eternally grateful for all your prayers.

It is a time to reflect, learn, discern and make some course corrections. So, without further delay, let’s dive right into this!

2 Years Past

Father-God has entered us into an interesting season these past 2 years. Most recently, the Church has experienced a drought of true prophetic insights. The nationally recognized voices within the church have just about concluded backtracking about their prophetic declarations that Trump would be re-elected. This has left much of the body of Christ, humbled, confused and floundering. What happened? What went wrong? What is next?

Some believe there is no point looking back. The reason many teach this is because we have not been taught to learn from our mistakes without those mistakes becoming a part of our identity. But, Jesus constantly referred to the history of man in regard to His eternal plan while on the earth. Until the Church learns from our mis-steps we will continue to repeat them and also pass along those same errors in theology, thinking, and action to our physical and spiritual children. That will never do. 🙂

What Happened? Let’s recap, then.

A Call To Reformation

During the past 2 years Father was entering His children into a new era where our thinking and belief systems would usher us into a level of true spiritual fellowship that we have not seen since the first century Church. We are being called to destroy all the man-made religion in our gatherings that attached itself to the Great Reformation. It was a call to deep introspection and reflection with Holy Spirit and, where needed, to change. We were meant to heal. I shared some of these spiritual movements in a blog called The New Wineskins: Part 1 – Paradigm Shift (Link) Sept 2019

By and large, we dragged our feet during this period of grace. During this time, there were some within the Body that began addressing the pride and fear that was corrupting the prophetic office in this generation (I offered a plea to repent of this in the blog Understanding The Times: A Call To The Australian Prophets 2019 (Link) ). On the whole, we did not repent of these fears, people-pleasing, and self-promotion. This choice led to some grievous loss for many of us less than 2 years later.

A Second Call From The Throne Room

Just prior to Covid sweeping over the nation (and world) a call went forth to once again seek Jesus’ blueprint and align with Father’s heart. Much of the public platform within the Church was talking about revival and wealth. Jesus fervently wanted to correct our timing and motives in order to prepare for things to come. We needed to be prepared to move in step with Him or we would miss His timing and Eternal plans for this season. There was still time to realign and heal within our own hearts and with each other. During this time, I shared some of the insights I was getting in prayer-time. That blog was The New Wineskins: Part 2 –  Fleshing Out This New Season (Link) January, 2020

What went wrong?

For starters, many of us refused to step outside our comfort zones or risk personal loss for the sake of speaking out in love to either our brethren or the lost looking for Truth. In response, Father continued moving forward on our behalf despite our own agendas.

A Time of Incredible Mercy and Grace

Only a few months later, Covid shut everything down. The stage was now set. By and large, we would not change our thinking in regard to fellowship… so Father shut it down as many of us understood it. He made it very hard to continue in our own agendas. We would not press in to seek healing from our own hurts, angers and fears… so Father turned up the heat and shut us in to make it that much easier for us. It was a Divine mandate to enter into spiritual Sabbath rest. This season of Kingdom grace was unprecedented. Unprecedented… I shared on this season in a post titled Understanding The Times: Bits & Bridles & Covid-19 (Link) April, 2020

During this time another call was also being sent throughout the body of Christ from Heaven. This message was not permitted in many venues to be openly shared. The Church needed to  recognize the new Epoch we entered into. I shared a little on this: Understanding The Times: Obedience & Willingness (Link) September, 2020

Yet even with all this grace, so many of us refused to look at things Jesus was knocking on the door of our heart about. The Church was meant to come out of this shut-in with tremendous kingdom authority and power. During this time, however, much of the church looked pretty similar to the lost who were trying to blindly grope through this time. We would have seen great revival taking place all across this land and elections would have looked very differently. Some spiritual realities were shared openly in the post titled The New Wineskins: Part 3 – Elections and 2021 (Link) November, 2020

As mentioned above, many people, truly gifted prophetically (remember- “prophecy” simply means Father sharing His heart with His children) remained unwilling to risk their social media following and ministry income to speak the full counsel of the Lord. The result: we would not share what the Body of Christ already knew in our spirits but refused to acknowledge. Namely, that the grace and favor many of us had would diminish if we did not begin actively acknowledging our own sins and repenting and praying for this nation.

There are a lot of interesting things heading our way under the current presidential cabinet. But this is not the true reality. The true reality is that we have allowed demonic principalities to hold seats of power, exercised over and through many people in many different leadership positions.

So… what’s next?

Great things. Lots of wonderful stuff designed to set us free and bring that revival we thought we could just call down as if we were under the Old Covenant. The best is truly yet to come. Father loves us unconditionally and any shame we feel comes from Satan’s lies. We just need to align our hearts and sense of identity.

For those who have been in step during this season…it gets even better for you as well 🙂

In the posts to come (Lord willing) I will share about the Kingdom recall of the unwelcomed John Baptists and Elijahs’as well as those coming who will move in the spirit of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and will greatly humble the Church.

Until then, pray for me, my wife and our family. Pray we move in more and more wisdom and favor as we navigate both these Times and the challenges of being a light in NY. Pray for greater and greater signs following to confirm His Word and rescue His lost sheep.

Parting Thoughts

“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” Col 2:8

There are brothers and sisters that want to speak up. They are looking for some solid spiritual understanding unpolluted by anger and personal agenda and man-made tradition. Share this with those the Holy Spirit brings to your mind. We desperately need to repent of the fear of man and finding acceptance from religious expectations.

All my love, family.

Topical Study: Understanding Hindrances To Healing

Topical Study: Recognizing Satan’s Attacks

“If there was anything to forgive– I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us, for we are not ignorant of his devices.”  2 Cor 1:10-11

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Prov 23:7

A major component of the season we are in is to heal from wounds that have distorted our understanding of who Father-God truly is (His nature, heart and view of us) and the wounds that have caused us to live in the fear of man. The Church is being prepared to once again represent the Light to the lost in the United States.  Overall, we are not doing this very well in the current condition we are in.

Whether it is fear, shame, anger or a general restlessness within our soul, these are all hindrances that limit how deeply we will experience the burning love our Lord and Father have toward us.

This study will expose the basic plans on how Satan works to stop healing from coming to pass.

His plan is always to sow seeds of death in our belief system. Our heart, where the seat of how we relate to God, ourselves and others comes from. The enemy tries to grow bitter roots in our soul.

“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled.”  Heb 12:15

  1. Holiness– starts with our beliefs, (aka our thought life) and plays a vital role in the depth of intimacy with Father.
  2. Bitterness defiles ourselves and others

the enemy can do nothing… nothing…. without our agreement. The battlefield takes place in the mind.

(2 Cor 10:5, Rom 12:2)

Satan’s Devices (plan of attack):

Let’s dig in. Satan’s attacks always come in the form of deception. Deception takes root in the areas of our beliefs that are not aligned with God’s Truths.  They may be broken down into 4 basic areas:

  • Rejecting God’s Blueprint
  • Unrepentant Anger
  • Bitterness of Soul
  • Getting Offended With God

Rejecting God’s Blueprint –

It is very difficult to flow with what the Lord wants to do in one’s life without understanding what that plan is.  We often may think we do not understand what God is doing with us, but if we are honest, we might admit our soul just plain doesn’t like His plan very much.  This is rooted in a misperception of His nature, which always leads to a lack of trust.

Rejecting God’s plans starts out as sin, and if left unrepented, leads to rebellion. Rebellion left unrepented, leads to partnering with some nasty demonic principalities (whether we recognize them or not). This leads to all sorts of ailments spiritually, relationally, and in other areas of our life.

Unrepentant Anger –

When the Holy Spirit begins to speak to us about an area of our heart that is rooted in pain, fear, or cooperating with the enemy, etc… The first thing Satan will begin to do is remind us how we were wronged.

Thoughts will float across our mind. These thoughts will be focused on “getting back” at that person, or odd as it may seem, anyone else that we can vent our anger on. Because this anger is rooted in hatred toward God and Love (His very nature), do not be surprised if thoughts come to mind about ways to hurt or wound a friend, family member,  or even a stranger that seems particularly kind or loving (it will start with fleeting daydreams, that if left unchecked will grow into meditating on them).  In fact, the more someone emanates Christ, the more you may feel buffeted to hurt such a person or wish them ill.

Please know: this is not you!! This is demonic in origin and seeks to gain a foothold through our current pain and hurt.

Our accountability deals with what we will do when we are hit with these thoughts that evoke ungodly feelings. The purpose of this attack is to prevent you from choosing forgiveness and life. If Satan can keep us offended with our past, he gets us to partner with him; the accuser of the brethren.

“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” Eph 4:27

“Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.” 1 John 4:20

Unforgiveness blocks gateways to intimacy. It is in contradiction to the very nature of our Father and Savior. It grieves the Holy Spirit, and sows poison into our heart and walk. It breeds bitterness within us. Quite simply,  it kills.

Bitterness of Soul-

If we make the choice to hold onto the offence (either real or perceived it doesn’t matter- it is a heart issue) we now have given footholds to Satan to buffet us further. We are now sowing to darkness through deliberate agreement with the Accuser.

The Word is full of instruction about this law of sowing and reaping. Whatever we sow seeds of, will be reaped to varying degrees of multiplication (Mark 4:20, Matt 13:8, Gal 6:8).

“For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.”

Hosea 8:7

“What fruit did you reap at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? The outcome of those things is death.”

Romans 6:21

“Peacemakers who sow in peace reap the fruit of righteousness.”

James 3:18

We know that positionally (meaning how God sees us) we have been made the Righteousness of God through the blood of Jesus Christ, (2 Cor:5:17Col 1:19-22Eph 1:6). James 3 is referring to relational living. It is speaking of what kind of walk, fruit and degree of intimacy we will enjoy, or forfeit with our Heavenly-Father (Hebrews 10:14).

Getting Offended With God-

Once bitterness sets in, shame, self-pity and anger will take root. It is almost impossible to see the goodness and love of God from this perspective, because one is choosing to agree with outright demonic thoughts and beliefs. I have watched countless times this cycle take hold of many hurting brothers and sisters. It grieves my heart tremendously, and is horrific to witness. This is often the point where many believers actually decide to walk away from fellowship with each other, and even begin to reject God Himself.

Engaging the enemy is not a battle as most of us have been trained to envision it. When we say “battle” we must frame it according to the reality of our authority and already having victory. I prefer to use the term “slaughter.” When we enter into a battle with the enemy, it is to lay waste on the battlefield… we decimate the enemy. This principle is outlined throughout the entire life of the judges, prophets and kings of the Old Testament.

Please remember, the only thing Satan and his minions have is the consent we give them. Consider taking some time to research the above points and ask Holy Spirit to show you what areas, if any, we have agreed with Satan’s lies. Then we repent and get into alignment with God’s Truth.

This of course, requires us to know His truth about His nature, our identity as sons and daughters, and of course, His heart. This is an investment that will without exaggeration change the course of your walk and level of intimacy forever.

We are in a season of counting the cost. It is not about whether or not He will love us. He already loves us fully forever. This is about what kind of life we chose to live on this Earth.

“I belong to my beloved, and his desire is for me.”

Song of Solomon 7:10

He is calling for the hearts of His children… Will we answer the call?

Your brother,

The Son of Jesse~

The New Wineskins: Part 3 – Elections and 2021

The New Wineskins: Part 3 – Elections and 2021

God is Love. God loves you always and forever

“You have captured my heart, my treasure, my bride. You hold it hostage with one glance of your eyes, with a single jewel of your necklace.”

Song of Solomon 4:9

It is simply impossible to hear Father’s heart or His loving correction if we do not truly accept the reality of His love. Conversely, to the degree we are unwilling to discuss corporate or  personal correction, is the degree we are spiritually immature.

We teach our children through correction and instruction. Our children. All of society over all of the history of man knows this intuitively. Why then do Father’s children refuse one of the greatest forms of Love that we as parents, friends and family, know to be so vital to any healthy relationship?

This New Epoch

I have shared that Father has already begun shifting and moving His Church into a new paradigm; a new Epoch. Form and function that have been permitted since the Great Reformation are no longer under His permissive Grace. Things were supposed to have shifted in our hearts. A new process was supposed to have begun. The pandemic and its social and political fallout offered incredible grace to help make this new transition easier.

Father is requiring His Body to step into His new blueprint. We were supposed to have been asking Him soul-searching questions.

  • Where is my heart in relation to You?
  • What areas of my life do I live without you in the center of it?
  • Where am I choosing to find my self-worth?
  • Where am I still in pain and unforgiveness?

This nation was called to be governed by a thriving body of believers who lived with the passion of native missionaries. We need a martyr’s heart.  This nation was formed with a martyr’s heart and a missionary mindset.

God is Love. God adores you just the way you are.

“For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.” Heb 10:14

Opportunities to Grow

Many of us have squandered this past year. I can relate. We chose to distract ourselves with comforts during a time we could have developed a missionary mindset.
Traditional gatherings were closed. This took all the pressure off of those who have been crying out to develop their gifts and calling without the religious system stifling them. All bets were off. We were free to live the gospel and manifest Jesus to the full degree we possessed it. The harvest field was our oyster. What did we do during this time? Did we at least heal? Did we develop our hearing?  Did we win souls to Christ? Did He show us areas we are in idolatry?

Family. God is not interested in where we gather. He is passionately interested in what we gather to.

Traditional / building fellowships- when was the last time our gathering had a prophetic word from Father? When was the last time our fellowships welcomed a challenging word of correction? When was the last time the “elders” and “recognized” leaders of our Christian communities cried out for a fresh word from Father’s heart unless it was to be delivered by themselves alone? When did gathering to Christ begin to look so passive? Where is the power of Jesus Christ in our Pentecostal meetings? We replaced it with more drums, guitars, light shows and big screens. This is what we did.

When did the pastoral office come to encompass the 5-fold ministry gifts all rolled into one? Where are those burning words of wisdom, knowledge and prophecy? During this national crisis when all Truth is being removed from our social, legislative and educational systems, where is the prophetic Voice of Jesus given a platform to guide, correct and align us?

Did we discuss tithing more than we discussed what Father is doing amongst us?

Home fellowships- do we truly believe that replacing a man-centered fellowship with a self-centered fellowship pleases Him? Has gathering in homes been watered down from fervent longing for Christ in our midst, to a time of causal prayer and weekly catch-up?

Those of us who do not gather-  who think we are the Abrams of this generation; seeing the wickedness of Sodom from the mountaintops-  is Jesus pleased with our hardened, bitter walk where we replay the same offenses in our minds for 10,20,30 years now? When was the last time we thought like our Savior in regard to the harvest field. Where is our missionary heart?

Elections, Socialism & More Correction

Church of the Living God- do we really think Jesus is more concerned with who wins the election than the very heart and spiritual condition of the living Church? Will He answer our prayers for hidden corruption in our nation to be exposed without Him first demanding our own corruptions, pains and fears in the Church be dealt with? I tell you He will not.

Many of us are praying for Trump so that we do not have to look at the issues within our own heart. I will ask the question plainly as He asked it to me. Will Father allow 4 more years of grace so that the Church can continue to live for ourselves? Unless the Body of Christ begins to immediately repent of our own agendas, the next step will be an increased level of religious oppression, increased onslaught on our children, and continual removal of God from this land.

Said another way, until the Church steps up in repentance,  the spiritual seats in the heavenlies we are choosing to forfeit will be filled with demonic influence. The lost souls of this nation are suffering because of our own pride. Yet we think we are aligned with God’s heart by blaming “the liberals.”  Wake up call. There are no “liberals” in hell… only the lost.

God is Love. God accepts you no matter what.

“And you, that were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreproveable in his sight.”

Col 1:21-22

Things To Come:

I have shared that Father showed me His Love is shifting in this season from grace to the crucible. All shifts are Love. We are being called to a missionary heart. This never should have left the Church in America.

The Body of Christ here in America is focused on building self-worth and rejecting to live out of His value for us. We confess it, sure, but our hearts are far from it. Our daily passions, actions and interactions circle around finding validation. This is because the elders and teachers of this generation do not know it ourselves. We have become the same Pharisees that opposed the prophetic words of Jesus during His days walking with man. This is why no challenging prophetic voices are welcome in fellowship gatherings. We seek titles in all their varied forms, money, validation from one another, and more and more control. Father is done with this.

Yet, in all this, please remember!!

God is Love. God says you have immeasurable worth in His eyes.

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Cor 5:21

By the which will we are all sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Heb 10:10

As the Church in America goes, so goes the world. The corruption in our American fellowships has spread over the face of this Earth. Only the most heavily persecuted believers have been spared this death from being sown in their walk.

Our Commander-In-Chief is once again calling us to His heart. No compromise. This is not about outward works to further delude us into feeling righteous. This is about the condition of our heart. The body of Christians in America are being called to once again live as missionaries; in our beliefs, our motives, our intimacy with Jesus. Actions are merely the inevitable outflow.

God loves you!!!

This is not a word of condemnation.

This is a word meant to cause us to give pause, and begin asking Father to work within us without conditions or compromise.

This nation will continue to see darkness preside until the Church once again transforms into Christ. The lost will always be lost… until they are not. This is on us. We can do this. There is no time to waste. We are already going to experience some more challenging times because we have not aligned. We need to do so now.

Let us challenge the status quo of the born-again religion we have been content to live with in our midst. Let us return to relationship and our First Love. Then we shall see what God will do through prayers that come from a Church whose heart beats only for Jesus and His Redemptive Plan.

Family of my Loving Father and the One True God~

I love you

To The Weary…

Many years ago, I used to instruct women on personal safety.  Martial arts training and competition was  therefore, a regular part of my regimen. In a particular tournament, my skill sets offered me a choice to compete in a much higher weight class, which my ego readily accepted. Only minutes into the first go-round, I was regretting it.

When the bell sounded, I was limping back to my corner, having concluded my first two rounds with a faster, more skilled opponent who outweighed me by 30 pounds.  My right foot was immobile; the instep having been strategically hammered by elbows (it would take 6 weeks before I could walk without a hobble due to soft tissues damage). Several of my ribs were bruised to the bone. My face was a mess and I was sucking air frantically.  I later found out my left wrist was broken.

Sometimes, thirty seconds is a lifetime. My instructor silently reached for my nose, and my mind began to wander to an old movie of two opposing american Indians engaged in mortal combat; a desperate attempt of one trying to overcome being badly outmatched.  I tried to calm myself, taking deep breaths. I didn’t mind the pain. I minded failing. I was offended at myself for falling short; of not hitting the mark. Looking past my corner, I saw the bewildered faces of some of my fellow classmates. Warriors every one of them. They gaped in awe that the pride of their studio was being beaten, let alone so badly picked apart. Combat in its truest form is a chess match and I was out of my league. I was tired. I was weary. Having engaged in competitive sports all my life, I was very familiar with being an underdog, but of this… I was unaccustomed.  The sweat hid my tears of shame and helplessness. I wanted to defend others in life. Protect those who have no advocate… I could not even help myself.  All a waste. Outweighed, out-skilled and out-thought. I looked away from my colleagues. The self-deprecation continued. Searching for one of my brothers, I found him, two mats over, dissecting his opponent with the skill of a surgeon. As I watched, they stopped his fight. “Of course.” I thought. That’s my little brother.

Eyes burning, I remember exhaling a sigh of resignation. I was alone.

“None of you truly see me.”

My teacher was holding ice over my eye, saying nothing. He was one of the most gifted fighters I would ever know, an Olympic candidate.  He was quick to laugh and his eyes could just as easily turn into lightning when needed. He was an excellent read of people’s hearts, and understood that every soul was a one-off mold. What is more is he also knew that I recognized this about him. Between two warriors, this was a deep bond that very closely knit us together. A trust beyond words was mutually shared. He was a good man.  Above all, he was my friend.

“David…?” I looked up at him, expecting that storm so often seen when he was talking with other students. I wasn’t familiar with that and so braced myself.  I was the confident, poised and skilled fighter in our class; the one he would call to the mat to face two-on-one when visitors stopped by the studio. Not today. Today there was only the bruised combatant, searching for some lesson to be learned to justify what, at the moment, all seemed to be a humiliating waste of time.

Our eyes locked. There was no storm. Only a man that had heard my internal monologue. His gaze was soft and comprehending. He believed in me. He understood me. The sounds around me faded to black and all was quiet. I saw only unconditional pride and acceptance of me. No disappointment. No condemnation.  I looked into the eyes of one who saw me. I was not alone. Suddenly, my heart was steadfast.

He removed the ice from my face, and placed his fingertips on my chest, then his palm. Just as that bell sounded for the final round, he whispered straight into my heart.

“David.  Get your head in the game.”

Many, many seasons have passed since Father used both that event and that person to deposit eternal grit and worth into my being. To this day, and in fact this very hour, I hear Jesus whispering behind me, strengthening me once again, directing my path. He gives clarity and focus.

“If you have run with footmen and they have tired you out, Then how can you compete with horses? If you fall down in a land of peace, How will you do in the thicket of the Jordan? Jer 12:5

So I say to you, my fellow classmates and the undefeated in Christ;  Father sees you. Father understands. Now, more than ever, though, the voice of compromise is speaking.

“Put down your tomahawk and knife. Sit by these waters. Aren’t the views in Babylon so beautiful by these shores? You have done so much already. Maybe it is time to ease up. See, your friends are here. Come, let us reason together.  Let us… compromise.”

Cast off your weariness. Compromise is the carnal antidote to the heart who longs to see the Hand of God move, but for a season seems inexplicably deferred. Show me a discouraged prophet and I’ll show you a man who has considered taking up the bottle.

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” 2 Cor 4:8-9

This season is offering the Church an opportunity through some tough trials to develop a steadfastness and grit that will see us live the scriptural truth that we are more than conquerors as a reality and not merely a parroted confession.

Some of us are in circumstances beyond our doing, and for others its the cumulative result of stubborn pride. Usually it’s a combination that has found its way to Father’s heart and sets things in motion to push us forward and set us free. In the end, it doesn’t matter. What matters is what we will decide in our hearts moving forward. Will we place Jesus first above all things? Will we compromise our walk, our family, our relationships, our spouses? What about our loved ones that do not know Jesus? What about our children? Dare I even mention the strangers that Jesus calls our “neighbor”? What is the enemy offering us as the substitution? Is it worth it?

The reality is you are never alone. He is always with you, even when fellowship, family and friends cannot truly see you. You can do this in Christ. Let Him guide your steps without compromise. Give Him permission to deal with “that” issue. Let the plans of our own heart finally and fully align with His as He is doing a new thing in this generation. Now more than any other time in our life let us align… and forever stay the course.  There is no condemnation in His steadfast love for you. No disappointment. No shame of falling short.  Just love, and a longing for greater intimacy.

I feel my ribs.  I hear the roar of the crowd. To this day I rub my left wrist when I recall those events and what I have learned.  All the lies and opposition once again fade to black. I remember who I am.  I am reminded that I am His redeemed and He has placed everything under my feet.  I see my Savior who uses all things… ALL THINGS… to set me free and invite me to know Him in a greater, more powerful way. None shall stand against me all the days of my life, and it is only my mindset and the condition of my heart that holds me back.

Now is not the time to put down our tomahawk and clasp hands with weariness.  It is not the time to look at what everyone else is doing.  It is the season to stare down the opponents of Father’s kingdom that have been allowed to  live inside our own soul.

And so, beloved family, with all His passion, and as a brother who is also and always on this journey with you, I say to us all in this season…

Get your head in the game.

“A man’s heart plans his way: but the Lord directs his steps.” Prov 16:9

Understanding The Times: Obedience & Willingness

New Epoch Part 2 : Obedience & Willingness

My family- it is so important we, the Church recognize we have moved into a new spiritual Epoch. What seems unprecedented around us outwardly, the carnal things we see with our physical senses, is paled by the unprecedented times we have entered spiritually.  Father has closed doors and paths that have been permitted to operate since the Reformation 500 years ago. That season is over.

I will emphatically repeat myself. That season is over. Forever. We have entered into the season of new wine.

This new epoch is a call for the Church to begin getting into alignment with a new way of being the Living manifestation of Jesus on the earth. Dogma, born-again religion and self-validation have no place to operate in the kingdom anymore.

Father is searching out the heart of His children to see who will allow Him to transform ones’ heart to steward this new wine. This new season will require commitment, passion and above all, that Jesus becomes our First-Love in all areas of our heart. Let’s pause for a moment to re-lay and recap on some basics.

“But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.” 1 Cor 14:3

Please remember that prophecy means simply Father’s heart, desire and intention revealed to His creation.

I can think of nothing more edifying, encouraging or comforting to know and understand what is on Father’s heart so that I can flow with it in His unconditional love and communion. I want deeper intimacy with my Creator.  If you are reading this blog, I know you do as well.

Where is the Church?

A great dismantling is under way.  Mantles, callings, influence and kingdom resources are being re-allocated to those willing to answer the call. This has nothing to do with how much we are loved by our Father, Lord and Counselor. This is about relational covenant and partnering with our Commander-in-Chief.  Father-God always loves us unconditionally (link), even if we choose to not partner with Him very much.

The fellowships and ministries that have had a place of influence within communities across this nation and across this entire generation are being called to account. This is love for the lost. This is love for the nations. This is love for His children He longs to set free from hurt, pain and fear.

We are in this season of things being called to account. Ledgers are now open in Heaven. Above all else, we need to remember God is Love. Make no mistake: this season is, as are all Father’s seasons in their varied forms, a demonstration of Love.

  • It was Love that forced us to be shut in with our family.
  • It was Love that has allowed us the opportunity to deepen family relationships in Christ.

(At the top of this list are our children of this generation that were fast approaching being consumed by the world under the Church’s nose).

The degree we will smoothly navigate and flow with this season will be directly tied to our obedience and willingness to Father’s plans.

The Crux: Obedience & Willingness

Cooperating with this season means us understanding 2 kingdom principles. Obedience and Willingness. Let’s begin with the “easy” part. Obedience.  Obedience is based solely on action. Though the Greek word is a noun, it in fact is irrevocably tied to action. In short, what we chose to do. God speaks, we move on that spoken Word. This is obedience.

Willingness is a whole different matter. Willingness deals with the heart; the position of the soul, where the seat of intention lies. Our hearts must be soft, pliable, submissive and above all, motivated from a place of love.

Obedience addresses outward action and outer compliance.

Willingness deals with inner action and inner compliance.

While obedience deals with the physical realm, willingness deals with the condition of our soul toward God, man and ourselves. Obedience is necessary in order to begin fulfilling our side of any kingdom covenant agreement. Willingness is the vital component to actually bring the promises to completion. An amazing example of this distinction can be found in the story of Balaam in Numbers 22. This portion of scripture has often been mis-taught and caused so much confusion because we have not applied the principles of obedience verse willingness. It applies directly to the Church in his hour.

We must never lose sight of the truth that Father is interested in intimacy. Intimacy is tied directly to our desire, and intention.

How This applies to this Season in the Body of Christ

There are great portions of the body of Christ that are content to show outward signs of obedience to what Father wants to do in us and through us, but many are still stubbornly unwilling to change the attitude of our hearts.

We are choosing to hold onto our own desires and our own intentions. Many within the Church are still trying to accomplish things through our own strength and gifts and determination. Many are not willing to submit to God’s calling in this season.

What will this look like?

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Rev 3:20

To the degree we have allowed Jesus to deal with some challenging realities within us (do we need to forgive? Have we repented from finding self-worth from money, titles, prestige, or the lack of any of these things?) is the degree in which we will flow with this season.

Grace in the form of “time” will now begin to become grace in the form of a “crucible.” As hidden things continue to come to light, Jesus will continue to allow circumstances to press upon us to grind away that which is not of Him.

This is Love, not anger!! I cannot stress this enough. 🙂

“The words “once more” indicate the removal of what can be shaken–that is, created things–so that what cannot be shaken may remain.” Heb 12:27

Jesus is shaking away from her bride all this is not of His eternal nature. The United States needs to once again be a Light to the lost in this nation. The United States needs the Body of Christ to once again live, and be willing to die, NOT as Americans who happen to be born-again, but rather Citizens of Heaven, who happen to live in America.

Do we need to ask the Holy Spirit to deal with the areas of our thinking, our reasoning, and the motives of why we do the things we do? How much do we think about the neighbors in our community? How often do we feel the pain of a stranger at the supermarket?

“You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1 Cor 6:20

If every aspect of our being has been purchased by the Blood of Jesus, why do we still think it is OK to live under forms of Law? Do we truly think 10% belongs to God, and we get to keep 90% for our own desires and motives?

Shall we continue to pick and choose which aspects of the Mosaic and New Covenant we will live under?

Things To Come

The fear of Covid-19 is soon being replaced with the bit and bridle of things outside our control. While Father gave us a time to heal in the secret places of our home, He is now going to allow us the time to heal under the Hand of some tumultuous circumstances.

Great News!!!

This season is designed to set us free and increase the depth of our intimacy with our Wonderful Father!!!

We can give Jesus permission to look at what truly makes us tick, and where we have allowed our personal religion, worldly comfort, or ambitions to callous our heart to the heart of our Father.

There is time. Remember please, the things we will see in the physical world (school, health, weather, and social disruptions) are only shadows of what is truly taking place in the heavenlies.

Father is aligning His Church. This fall will begin a new time to examine our relationship with Jesus and allow His love to wash away whatever is not of His kingdom, either in action or motive. There is so much healing and joy and expressions of His love for us that He is longing to lavish upon His child. He wishes to pour this out upon each and every one of us. We do not need to be afraid of change or of the present circumstances pressing upon us. Father is faithful, and He is using it to set us free. Please, let us not squander this season.

Let us unconditionally love and encourage each other to grab everything we are meant to lay hold of in this hour. We will not regret it.

More to come, my Family…
